What We're Proposing

We film the outdoors like never before. You bring it home.

A six-part hunting and fishing feature — premiered inside your stores and at your venues, driving real people through your doors, and returning every year as a cultural event the whole community travels for.

01
We produce the film
A theatrical-grade, six-part feature — three fishing stories, three hunting stories, one screen — produced in partnership by Off the Grid Studios and Copeland Creative. Made with the scale and soul the culture has never been given.
02
We deploy it — our team runs every screening
Off the Grid comes in and puts on the events start to finish — staged at your marquee venues, then rolled out to as many retail locations as you want. Turnkey. You don't lift a finger.
03
It drives people to retail — every year
Real foot traffic into your stores, then a six-part series that reaches millions more. An annual tradition the outdoors builds its calendar around.
04
It's brand storytelling — not just a film festival
This is hunting and fishing content, but it's also a platform for the legacy of Bass Pro Shops itself — and the Morris family's decades of conservation leadership behind it. More on that below.
05
One partnership, built for both worlds
Off the Grid Studios leads every fishing story. Copeland Creative leads every hunting story. Two production houses, each fluent in their world, working together as one team to deliver this at the highest level.
The Legacy, Told Every Year

This isn't a one-time film.
It's the annual home for the Morris family's story.

Johnny Morris's journey — from selling tackle out of his father's liquor store in Springfield in 1972 to building the brand that raised generations of outdoorsmen — is also one of the great American conservation stories. Every year, the festival becomes the platform that carries that legacy forward: family, wilderness, and stewardship, told fresh to a new generation.

2019

Audubon Medal

One of conservation's highest honors, accepted by Johnny and the Morris family together.

Springfield, MO

Wonders of Wildlife

The world's largest conservation attraction — voted America's Best Aquarium four times.

1990

Teddy Roosevelt Award

Presented by President George H.W. Bush for a lifetime of conservation leadership.

Every premiere becomes a moment to spotlight it — the family's conservation work, past and present, woven into the film, the venue, and the night itself. Not a footnote. The heart of the tradition.

The Film

Six stories. One feature.
The species America loves.

The first flagship film to put hunting and fishing on the same screen — the core of what your customers live for, plus two adventures that let them dream.

What It Becomes

Not a screening.
An annual tradition.

YEAR ONE

Event

A premiere people travel to attend.

EVERY YEAR

Tradition

They come back — and bring others.

OVER TIME

Culture

The event the outdoors defines itself by.

This isn't theory. It's a proven model — Off the Grid Studios and Copeland Creative have each built film events that became annual traditions in the outdoors. Together, The Hook & Bullet Film Festival brings that combined playbook home to the one place built to host it: Bass Pro.

The Invitation

Let's give the outdoors the moment it's been waiting for.

We're not here to hand you a budget or a contract — we're here because this belongs with Bass Pro. Let's sit down and imagine what it could become.

The Ask

Let's set up a conversation to explore it together.
